... i haven't had a chance to post pics from the past 2 or 3 days, between having a bit of a hectic schedule and the fact that it takes eons to upload one photo. stupid charter... "lightening speed", my rear. anyway, now that they've finally uploaded, here's the last few days:
cole with his new toolbelt from kelvin's parents... he wouldn't keep the hat on though. i think the combination of a toolbelt and tools with a diaper is just plain hilarious...
this morning i needed to clean the bathroom, and i try to save the exersaucer for when there are no other options, so i buckled cole into his highchair and gave him some paper and crayons.
he was really into it, at first...
... and then thought that tearing up his "canvas" was way more expressive. guess it's not as extreme as van gogh, thank goodness. so yeah- paper taped to the table + crayons on the floor (due to one mad little boy) = ripped paper.
and since the coloring nicely at the table idea didn't fly the first time, i wasn't about to launch a second episode, so in order for me to get a shower in, i had to haul out the exersaucer. being on the petite side is coming in handy for cole- he can use that thing longer! as expected, there was the sound of cole having fun (albeit begrugdingly) sprinkled with intermittent outbursts of frustrated screeching. then it got silent, and i figured he'd gotten into something... either he'd pulled something off the table or had figured out how to take one of the toys off the exersaucer. after i got out of the shower, i started talking to him and got no answer; i guess artistically expressing one's self proves exhausting, because he was fast asleep. what a goof! i even turned on the camera and snapped several shots without so much as a twitch from him. poor kiddo- it was almost lunch, so i had to wake him up and the look on his face was priceless: confusion mixed with "i wasn't sleeping, honest!". after a bit of a protest to eat lunch (bananas were a hit again, but he wanted nothing else), it was off for a real nap. and that's where he is now... ahhh, peace and quiet!
