we went to kelvin's parents for new years day, just to hang out. i started the new year off right by taking a lot of photos... haha.
cole's not allowed on the computer at home, so breaking him of this habit is going to be a bit difficult, i think...
he looks like he knows what he's doing, even though his toes are about a foot or so from the floor!
grandpa dan got some toys out of the attic, including the pedal tractor.
and this was cole's reaction to the pedal tractor! i guess it was too big to just sit on right away- they had to get acquainted from a distance first. poor baby- even though it was funny, it breaks my heart to see him cry like that!
so, he played with the tractors that were more his size to begin with... start small and work up, eh?
cole gassed up the pedal tractor with some help from grandpa d.; then he started filling everything he though might possibly have a tank, including daddy!!!
(i couldn't help but notice the price on the old toy gas pump- 14 gallons for $8!!)
and eventually, cole made peace with the big tractor. he was pretty pleased with himself, "steering" while daddy and grandpa d. pushed him around the basement. yes, this little man was in his glory- all kinds of toys and LOTS of space to run around! he even checked out one of grandpa d.'s old runway lights- grandma r. plugged it in so it lit up- it was SO funny, the way he bent forward with his heiny sticking out, face right next to the light, eyes so wide they looked like they'd pop. the expression on his face was too funny- and of course, i didn't get a photo, but i'll never forget it!
