mom... do i look like i care??
randoms:
* there have been constant bumps and thumps from the guy above us ALL NIGHT LONG- seriously- from yesterday evening, all thru the night (i had a tough time falling asleep and then every time i woke up i heard it), even now. it's every few seconds, and if he weren't oh-so-creepy, i'd knock on his door and ask him to keep a lid on it.
*tomorrow is stroller day- it's the big thing here, we have a countdown going.
*kelvin's going to take a detour to coolidge after work to check out that trailer- i hope he likes what he sees!
now for the rant:
i know that there are lots of devoted packer fans among us, but this whole brett favre thing is beyond over-done. really, this is a grown middle-aged man who has made millions and has had more than his fair share of fame... if you think about it, he made tons of money chasing an oddly-shaped ball up and down a huge piece of lawn, while most of the rest of society has had to work 40+ hours every week just to make ends meet. really, he's just a guy who has had his 15 seconds in the spotlight, who knows his 'career' is no longer at it's peak and he can't handle it gracefully- in my opinion, he's trying to get more attention because he can't face the fact that he's no longer numero uno. kinda like a kid throwing a tantrum- all this retirement/semi-retirement changing his mind stuff...seems it's mostly to get attention. i say, tough beans, dude- you got to be famous, make tons of money playing A GAME, you're getting old, deal with it. i'm pretty sure that there are going to be people who won't be happy with my rant, but hey- it's my blog, i'll rant if i want to (hmmm, sounds somewhat like lyrics to a song... lol). if you don't like it, don't read it. i went to the bank at fry's yesterday and the teller needed my id- he saw it was from wisconsin, asked what we were doing so far from home and when we were going back... i told him we're heading home in a few weeks, to which he replied, "will your state still exist?" that kinda puzzled me- he asked if the whole state was going to fall apart because brett favre left the packers- even down here it's all the buzz. so i told him that honestly, i wasn't much of a sports fan and to tell the truth, i thought the whole thing was a bunch of baloney. he looked like he might have agreed. so- on that note, good riddance to favre- enough of the drama!
there, i'm done.
