any photographic illustrations in this post were not done by "we"...
rather, they are the doing of "they".
would i draw all over my couch with blue crayon?
no.
WE did not do this.
THEY did.
(and they drew very nice lines, i might add!)
i think i'm going to stick a gps-enabled microchip in that thing, just to save my sanity.
our paci-dependent daughter makes it known when her little lifeline has gone missing.
i didn't see the paci, but i saw this:
the electrical outlet was indeed staring back at me.
(or maybe, like me, it was frantically searching for that paci!)

oh yes- the littles have certainly been busy.
mostly, getting into mischief and turning off their listening ears.
obviously, it's a phase and will pass.
these hormones of mine don't include an extra dose of patience, unfortunately.
between convention, a visit from daddy and rainy days, everyone's routine is a bit off, so we're all feeling a tad discombobulated.
we'll get our heads on straight sometime, i'm sure!
(or as my grandpa krisher would have said, we'll get our ducks in a row)
it hasn't all been crazy days and broken ears, though...
cole's pretty well potty-trained, with the exception of half of his naps and his nighttimes. those will come soon enough, i'm sure.
madison's been showing an interest in the toilet, saying "potty!" and squatting. when she initiates it, we'll attempt a round on the toilet. she's not scared of it (with her, i'm just going straight to the big toilet; cole only used the little potty a few times, now it's used as a step-stool) and gets this proud little smirk when she's perched on the porcelain.
cole's new thing is calling everyone "honey", "sweetie" or "sweetheart". even when he's mad.
he'll be furiously scolding his sister for something and STILL say it... as in, "that's MY hemi, sweetie! no touch it!".
it's funny...
kids are so cute!!

(ps: mary s., if you're reading this post, i tried to word it as creatively as possible. just for you!)

Haha That was cute! Thanks for the post! I love the eyes in the outlet! :)
Lindsay, you are SUCH a cool, calm and collected mom. Thank you for sharing REAL-LIFE stories here, but now that I've seen you in action, I know that you are dealing with it all (and yes, that's a LOT with littles) in such a loving way. I admire you, girl!! Keep up the good work, and let the Lord be your strength!
