oh.my.word.

i just want to share two things: a) a sweet moment and b) an "oh.my.word." moment.

here's the sweet moment:
two small children, paper, crayons, no screaming (for five minutes).
madison was more into tasting the crayons, but she tried!
now for the "oh.my.word." moment.
exhibit a: cole's playing so nicely with his cop car.
but wait... who's that in the driver's seat?

exhibit b: smells like bacon...
honestly, you can NOT teach a 2-year-old this... he did it all on his own. no kidding. i wasn't home, but kelvin was kind enough to take photographic evidence for me to look at when i got home from work.
in other semi-interesting randoms, madison's cutting some top teeth. kelvin's still laid off. cole's big on the nap strikes. i'm thinking of paying $10 for a booth at the craft fair for the winter whirl here in town the last weekend in january. i thank my neighbor for that one- it was her idea. kelvin was super-sweet and cleaned behind the stove and fridge while i was at biolife today. i'm considering switching our family over to an all additive-free, preservative-free diet but i have no idea where to start; any tips, recipes, resources for cheap ingredients?...
oh- and i'm anxious for spring.

Cole is too funny (and smart). The other summer we had a hilarious time at the fair in the pig barn.. because there just happened to be a police officer in there. He was a good sport as the kids talked about the 'fat, smelly pig', as they stood beside him in front of the pigpen! :)

As far as your diet.. we hardly eat 'natural', but I try to stay away from processed foods, and make as much as I can from scratch. We raise our own meat, eggs too. It's not easy or cheap! GOod luck

haha! kids are hilarious... :)

i'm starting to think that cole's napping issues might have dietary roots... even after sleeping for two hours on a good day (if we're lucky) he still has dark rings under his eyes and there are some other things that make me wonder if what he's eating is to blame. yeah- eating healthy is SO expensive; ironic, huh? :)

thing one and thing two (youre things, and them) are so cute! cousin coy would get along great with your pig driving son! we're all about pigs here too..specially when we go to the farm, and he sees ALL of grandmas pig things around the house.
oh, and im sorry to say, but i don't think there is a cheep way to really healthy food... :( maybe next year you can share a garden with mom!!!! :) teach cole to weed! hahahahah.
