4 months!

at 4 months, madison is:

13 pounds, 13 ounces (55th %ile)

26 inches (97th %ile)

weight-for-length: 2nd %ile

she is funny...

...likes to watch her big brother...

... gets and "gives" lots of kisses...

... and is just so gosh-darn cute we can hardly stand it!!

her appointment was today and everything went well- she got her shots (*sniff*) and was declared to be a healthy little girl! cole did pretty well... i didn't use the sling or stroller (for the fact that one: he gets a bit heavy after 45 minutes, and two: double strollers don't fit well in tiny exam rooms!) and so we had a "stay by mommy and don't touch things" experience! he only escaped once and got one time-out for trying to play with the computer. this was after several counts to 1 or 2 and finally a refusal to cooperate. anyway, madison's healthy and has surpassed the developmental milestone recommendations, so we can assume she's just fine!

yes! we had dr appts yesterday too and you get used to it, that's all i can say! you learn to still hear the dr through telling your other child "no" while they're exploring the exam room. what a cute little girl, time flies!

I love our clinic though (same town perk). It's big enough for double stroller, but the waiting room is 'kid' friendly, the exam room is JUST for kids. Everything 'tempting' is up out of reach.. anything at their level is okay for them to touch, plus they have toys for the other kids to play with. The DR and staff is exceptional with kids too-very laidback.
You should switch..it'd just be a short 3 hour drive to see him! :)

Your children have the BIGGEST eyes! They are so beautiful and stop you in your tracks every picture. :) We missed you at convention, even though we were there one day, but I did think about you guys and how we both would have had our little boys and little girls there.

I do still remember SO well those "going anywhere" times with 2small ones. It does get easier with the passing of years, our twins turned 35 last Sunday..... sometimes I now wish they were still at home!
Think of you often with your little ones, just know most of us who have been where you are realize what you young parents are going through. Your children are one of your greatest investments. xoxo, Kathy/AZ
