just seen in the "wanted" section of craigslist... "looking for a coffin, preferably used because i can't afford a new one. let me know what you've got." oh my- i have half a mind to reply to that one since it's just SO odd. seriously, check it out for yourself if you don't believe me (appleton craigslist); there's no way i could make that up! i wonder how many people are just waiting to get rid of a used coffin...

yeah, that's just creepy....
Some people have an open casket at their funeral. And then they are cremated. So used caskets are really not that uncommon, but they are usually rented from the funeral home, not purchased. So a used casket on Craig's list???? Maybe the kind used for a play or as a halloween decoration??? Strange request for sure.
