or something to that effect, anyway.
it wasn't so much "bark" as contractions, and more action than "bite".
after having some pretty decent contractions every 2 or 3 minutes for about 2 hours, kelvin insisted that i call theda on-call, so i did... and they recommended getting things checked out.
mom and dad met us in new london and sat with the kids while we were monitored (pretty regular activity and baby looked great, thankfully!), sampled (urine test, which came back clean), and checked (no dilation. whew.). at one point, cole came into the room we were in (the same room madi was born in!), saw me up and off the monitors, and with a very disappointed look on his face said, "hey! you don't have your baby out of your tummy!".
hmmm- that's a good sign; i'd love for him to be excited over having his new brother!
anyway, since nothing was happening and there was no infection, we were sent home with strict instructions to lay low and push fluids. that makes me giggle just a little, since it seems a tad bit counter-intuitive: drink more but be up and about less? huh. give me a catheter and we can make it happen, hahahaha!

anyway...
all's well that ends well.
i'm not on my feet and i've got a big glass of ice and liquids, AND i'm on the couch so i don't have to go up and down the stairs every time my bladder begs for mercy. the contractions have lessened a little in the last half hour, so that's a good sign. and of course, baby boy is still movin' non-stop, also a good sign.
oh, and i have permission to share his name:
remington aaron.
(his middle name is in honor of my uncle aaron)

glad everything turned out alright!!!
it is a little too early, yet!:] But glad to see there is no infection, and that baby boy is looking good. . . . . .
thinking about you!! xoxo
yeah, it's a bit on the early side! if anything had developed, we'd have been sent up to theda in appleton, because new london's small enough that they don't have a nicu. if we can wait another three or four weeks, that would be good :)
Glad to hear all is well.. doesnt it seem almost impossible to take it easy with being a mama already? :) LOVE the name. Cant wait to see this lil guy... but he should wait a few more weeks. :)
good luck on taking it easy :)
hopefully he stays in the 'cooker' a little longer.
love the name!
