while elissa, logan and the boys were here, us girls got together, left the kids with logan and my dad and had a spa day!
good- maybe he'll be super gentle with his little brother in a few months too :)
bentley got the giggles playing with grandpa
uncle logan made pancakes for the guys for lunch- yum!!
i think they were a hit- who doesn't love pancakes? mom, elissa, sarah and i walked over to the apartment for our spa time while the boys were having their pancakes. we took madi with us- she might be small, but she can still enjoy "girl time"!
our little get-away...
everything was natural- in fact, there was nothing in any of the masks, scrubs or toners that couldn't be safely ingested.
what's a spa without a little ambiance?
(we went with enya, in case anyone's wondering)
it was SO yummy- great job on the quiche, elissa!
opening our pores with a lemon-mint steam
(mom's exclamation of "ooooh, fudge!" will forever get a laugh out of all four of us. you'd had to have been there...)
masks!
yup, definitely edible :)
miss madi didn't get in on the beauty routine, but she occupied herself so nicely, stopping every now and again to give us an odd look (after all, the concept of purposely smearing food ingredients all over your face is familiar to toddlers, but adults doing it is a whole different story...)
madi and grandma playing with the mirror
sticky cheeks!!
auntie sarah indulged madi in her sudden interest in headbands... the little princess was pretty proud of herself, wearing her auntie's headband like a royal tiara.
we had some awesome bonding time, got to relax AND feel pretty all at the same time- there's nothing like a good, thorough facial routine to make a girl feel rejuvenated.
it was a special day for sure!

sigh* what i wouldn't give for another spa day with my favorite seesters and mommy!! Thanks for posting pictures, and forcing me to remember what real relaxation is... ;)
wow.. what a special day.
i could use another one too... or maybe a whole week. any chance you're up for THAT?? :)
heather: it sure was!
I crashed in that apt one year after conv- Frances, Amanda and I. I spent at least part of the time back in the woods in the cabin. Built a fire that was so hot, it's amazing the whole thing didn't burn down. I always imagine I'll do it again... but it might not happen! That little 'retreat' at your folks' place is wonderful!!! Great you get good use out of it!!
awwww...so nice y'all got some girl time! looks like a fun, relaxing day:0)
